This latch fixes to the gate post in carbon steel, finished black, with a sliding bolt and a screw lock that takes a padlock. Manual measurement carries a tolerance of one to two centimetres, so a dry fit first saves a second set of holes.

In use it is a two-part movement: the bolt draws back, the gate swings, the bolt goes home. A screw lock sits on the body, and a padlock can be added through the latch when the gate needs more than a bolt.

The parcel contains one latch with its bolt. Screws and fixings are not confirmed either way, so have a set to hand for the post you have.
