The wide-angle version covers more of a nearby scene, while the narrower version views a smaller area at the same distance.

Check the exact module's power, interface mode and software before connection. Serial data needs a suitable USB-to-TTL path for a computer, and thermal readings depend on the surface and conditions rather than proving a fault or medical diagnosis.

Technical details

Sensor: MLX90640

Array: 32 × 24 pixels, 768 points

BAA field of view: 110 × 75 degrees

BAB field of view: 55 × 35 degrees

Module supply reference: 5 V

Host and suitable connection hardware: separate

Choose the thermal-array view for your compatible sensing project.

https://spy-shop.com/products/mlx90640-camera-module-thermal-image-temperature-sensor-32x24-ir-infrared-array-thermometric-dot-matrix-32-24-sensor-gy-mcu90640
