Build a removable crossbar arrangement

Choose a bar long enough for the intended opening and suitable fixing positions for both brackets. The brackets need a drilled installation into a structure capable of supporting the intended arrangement.

Check the actual timber cross-section against the bracket opening before fitting. Timber, the door or gate, and a complete installation are not supplied; the effectiveness of an assembled bar depends on the structure, fixings and fit.
