Start with the Cable Connection

When a cable is suspect, a basic wiring check can help separate a connection fault from a device issue. Disconnect the cable from equipment, connect both ends to the tester and follow its indicated sequence.

Continuity is not certification of Ethernet speed or proof that an HDMI link will carry every video mode. Use the tester within its permitted connections and power it with the required 9V battery. The battery is not included.
