The controller adjusts between 0 and 35 degrees Celsius, which is enough for a warm floor zone. Species that need a hotter basking spot still need a lamp above the enclosure, because the mat's range stops at 35 degrees.

Keep the mat flat once it is in place: it must not be bent, cut, pierced or stapled, and it is not built for immersion in water. A wipe with a damp cloth is enough to clean it, and the cable is about 140 cm long, which leaves some slack to reach a socket.
