A Combined Tool with Clearly Defined Limits

The B22 lists non-contact voltage indication, contact measurement and continuity functions. Confirm the mode and rating on the actual tool and follow its instructions; continuity testing is for appropriately isolated, de-energised circuits.

Non-contact detection cannot prove a circuit is de-energised, and a rubber-coated handle does not establish suitability for live work. Verify the actual tool's ratings and use the appropriate procedure before electrical work.
