JT-480 Rechargeable Clip-On Tuner for Guitar, Bass and Ukulele

A loud rehearsal room is a hard place to tune by ear. The JT-480 clips to the headstock and reads the instrument through a piezoelectric vibration pickup, so the room stays out of the reading. Guitar, bass, ukulele and chromatic modes, with a Type-C recharge.

Tuning that shuts the room out

✅ Tune while the room is loud The piezoelectric pickup reads vibration from the headstock rather than sound in the air.

✅ Accurate to the cent Accuracy is rated at plus or minus one cent, with a one-key return to 440 Hz.

✅ Mode change between songs Button M steps through guitar, bass, ukulele and chromatic, so a two-instrument set needs one tuner.

✅ Charged for weeks, not evenings The 100 mAh battery is rated to last months per charge, with a level indicator on screen.

Tuning at volume is the point. The reading comes from the headstock rather than the air, so a monitor wedge or a drummer warming up is not part of the signal you are reading; clip on, check the note, and go.

Setup is one clip and one button. The clip turns a full 360 degrees and a silicone pad sits against the finish, so the screen can be angled where you can read it; then choose guitar, bass, ukulele or chromatic with M and tune. A4 sits at 440 Hz by default, and A4/b moves the reference from 430 to 450 Hz.

The tuning range runs from 0A to 8C, roughly 27.5 Hz to 4186 Hz, which takes in 4 and 5-string bass and 6, 7 or 8-string guitars. Auto power-off covers you if you walk away with it still switched on.

Two things to know before ordering. The 100 mAh battery is included and charges over Type-C, but a charging cable is not confirmed in the box, so have one ready. At 34 g in a metal body, it can stay clipped to the headstock between songs.
