Coin batteries can look alike while using different chemistries. Confirm that the cell is a supported rechargeable LIR model before inserting it, then check polarity and condition according to the instructions.

Do not charge non-rechargeable CR, AG, LR or SR cells. The batteries and charging cable are separate, and the correct USB supply and charging procedure remain necessary even when a charger includes automatic completion handling.
