A Bottom Bracket That Matches the Frame

Start with the frame rather than the cranks. A threaded shell takes the BB68 version; a press-fit shell with a 41 mm bore and an 86, 90 or 92 mm width takes BB92. The Ceramic BB68 is the one for GXP SRAM cranks, where the spindle steps from 24 mm to 22 mm.

Both aluminium versions use a 44 mm outer cup diameter and a 24 mm bore, and the quoted weights sit close together: about 97 g for BB68, 100 g for BB92 and 100 g for the ceramic BB68. Those figures are nominal, so expect a gram or two either way.

Fitting is a bench job with a bottom bracket tool rather than a press for the threaded version. Have the old cups out, clean the shell threads and follow your crank maker's chainline and spacer instructions before the new cups go in.
