Before you rely on it, compare the pack voltage and current rating with your engine, and check that the clamps and leads you need are in the package. A pack sized for a small petrol engine is not a substitute for one rated for a larger diesel.

Charge it on a schedule rather than only before a trip, and store it where the terminals stay dry. Follow the connection order in the manual: positive first, then negative on a suitable earth point, and remove in reverse.
