M.2 NVMe to USB Adapter Board
An NVMe drive pulled from a laptop needs an adapter that speaks PCIe, not a SATA enclosure. This bare board connects an M.2 NVMe drive to a USB host, for bench access or a one-off transfer.
✅ Read an NVMe drive over USB - The board adapts an M.2 NVMe drive to a USB 3.1 host connection.
✅ Use it as a bench tool - The bare board is intended for temporary access rather than permanent enclosure.
✅ Keep the drive accessible - With no shell, the drive can be fitted and removed repeatedly during recovery work.
Bench access to an NVMe drive
Identify the drive first: a SATA M.2 drive will not work in an NVMe adapter, whatever the connector looks like. Insert the drive fully, check the keying, and support the far end so the connector is not loaded.
The board is exposed, so keep it on a non-conductive surface and avoid touching the contacts. Heat matters on fast NVMe drives during long copies, so work in stages.
