Calibrate before relying on a comparison

An electrode-based pen gives a convenient pH reading when it is prepared, calibrated and maintained correctly. Use suitable reference solution and allow the reading to stabilise before comparing results.

The display resolution is 0.1pH. AG13 button cells are required and are not included. Keep liquid below the display level and follow electrode-care instructions. A pH value alone does not establish that water is safe to drink.
