Check the Reference and Target Before Measuring

Set the correct front or rear reference and hold the meter steadily toward a suitable target. Repeat important measurements and use the manufacturer's procedure for any indirect calculations.

Angle measurement is described as optional, so confirm it on the selected unit. The meter is not waterproof. Keep the Class 2 beam away from eyes, people, animals and reflective surfaces, and do not treat it as certified surveying equipment.
