Setup is a matter of heights: the full container above, the receiving one below, one end of the pipe in each, then work the pump until liquid starts to move. A run that has to climb uphill needs more pumping than one going down.

Four variants are offered, so check the opening of the container you plan to empty before choosing. A pipe that is too wide for a fuel can's neck is no help, and a short one will not reach the bottom of a drum.

Keep one pipe for fuel and another for water. A pipe that has carried petrol is not the one to use for drinking water afterwards, however well it is rinsed.

Liquid moves at the pace you pump, so this is a pipe for emptying and topping up rather than for filling a large tank in a hurry.
