The two heads matter at a desk as much as at a bed: one can point at a book and the other at a keyboard, and the clamp keeps the base off a small table where a standing lamp would not fit. In a dormitory the same clamp goes on a bunk frame or a shelf above the mattress.

Control is by touch on the lamp body. A single press steps through the three colour temperatures, and a long press takes brightness from 5% to 100%, so the light can be set for a paperback at night or a spreadsheet in the morning. The LED beads are built in and do not need replacing.
