The magnet patch is the whole fixing. It goes on the underside of a cabinet, the inside of a wardrobe door or the side of a stair riser, and the light sits over it, so a rented kitchen comes away without screw holes when you move out.
The sensor reads movement across a wide arc, from roughly nothing to three metres, and the light stays on for about 25 seconds. That is long enough to fill a glass, cross a landing and get back into bed, and short enough that the lamp is dark again by the time you are settled.
Daylight is handled by the sensor itself, which does not switch the lamp on while the room is bright. In a hallway with no window it will come on more often; in a wardrobe it only runs when the door opens onto a dark interior.
A battery is included, and the box holds one light, one USB cable and one magnet patch. A USB adapter is not part of the package, so charge it from a socket you already have. Cold white suits a worktop, warm white suits a bedside.
