Handheld Refractometer - Scale Options

Read a suitable liquid sample with a handheld optical refractometer. Choose the scale for the task, from Brix and wort-specific gravity to the separate alcohol, salinity or automotive-fluid models.

Start with the Liquid and the Correct Scale

Choose the model according to the liquid and the measurement you need, rather than expecting every version to cover every application. Brix SG, Brix Alcohol, Alcohol 0-80, salinity and automotive urea selections use different scales and are not interchangeable.

Follow the selected model's calibration and sample instructions before taking a result, then clean the prism as directed. The supplied pipette helps place the small sample, while the adjustment screwdriver and cloth support routine preparation and care.
