Wooden Artist Hand Support Bridge for Oil Painting
Wet oil paint punishes a resting hand, and a detail in the middle of the canvas is where it shows. This bridge assembles from four wooden sticks and two iron pieces to span 80 cm, so the wrist rests above the work. For painters at an easel.
A Steady Wrist Above Wet Paint
✅ Wrist off the canvas The bridge carries your hand over the area you are painting, so a detail stroke does not land on wet ground.
✅ Reaches across a panel Assembled, it spans 80 cm, so a wide canvas is covered from one position rather than two.
✅ Sticks, not a fixed rod Four 20 cm sticks and two iron pieces make the bridge, and it separates again for a drawer or roll.
✅ Brown wood and iron The brown finish sits alongside a wooden palette and the brush handles already in the studio.
Detail work is where the bridge earns its place: a signature, a highlight along an edge, or a long straight line across a large panel. With the hand supported above the surface, a stroke can be carried through without breaking off.
The set arrives as four wooden sticks and two iron pieces. Each stick is 20 cm long and 2 cm across, and the pieces join end to end into an 80 cm bridge. Take it apart again when the session ends and it goes back in a roll, a drawer or a tool box.
Two points to plan for before ordering. Measurements allow 1 to 3 cm of deviation, so check the assembled length against your easel and panel if you need an exact figure. Colour in the photographs can also differ slightly from the wood that arrives. This is a hand rest, not an easel, a palette or a clamp.
