Raspberry Pi HAT - Pan-Tilt or USB Hub Options
Choose the expansion that fits your Raspberry Pi project: a Pan-Tilt HAT for camera movement or a USB HUB HAT for extra connections. These are two different boards, each adding a specific function to a compatible Pi setup.
✅ Move a project camera - The Pan-Tilt HAT option supports two-axis motion controlled through I2C.
✅ Add USB and wired networking - The USB HUB HAT option provides three USB ports and 10/100 Ethernet.
✅ Monitor ambient light in a camera project - The Pan-Tilt option includes a light sensor for your control application.
Expand the Part of the Project That Needs More
A camera experiment and a connected Pi station need different expansion hardware. For camera positioning, the Pan-Tilt option brings motion control and light sensing into the project so your software can respond to both.
For a compact workstation, the USB HUB HAT adds peripheral ports and Ethernet instead. Select one board by its purpose and fit; the USB hub does not provide pan-tilt motion, and the Pan-Tilt board is not a USB or Ethernet expander.

Technical details
- Pan-Tilt: PCA9685 PWM, I2C, 3.3/5 V compatibility
- Pan-Tilt board size: approximately 56.6 × 65 mm
- USB HUB HAT: three USB 2.0/1.1 ports and RTL8152B Ethernet
- USB HUB HAT supply: 5 V; size approximately 65 × 30 mm
- Pi and camera: separate equipment
Select the HAT that adds the function your Pi project actually needs.
