Set the Board Position Before Heating the Joint

A loose circuit board can move just when you need the tip and solder to meet at one point. A holder gives the board a fixed place, making it easier to plan access to the joint and keep tools arranged around it.

Clamp only suitable edges and check that components and connectors clear the holder as you rotate the board. This is a mechanical support, not a heat shield or powered soldering station. The PCB and soldering equipment are separate.
