Several wire-preparation tasks in one hand tool
Disconnect the supply and verify that the circuit is de-energised before using the pliers. The tool is explicitly unsuitable for live electrical work; the handle covering is not evidence of an electrical insulation rating.
Choose the correct stripping position and test on a spare length before preparing the final connection. The cutting section and gripping jaws serve different stages, while the crimping section should only be used with a terminal and conductor combination that fits it.
