USB NiMH/NiCd Charging Board, Type-C or Micro USB
Add charging control to a compatible small nickel-based battery project. This board suits electronics users setting the correct cell count and choosing a USB-C or Micro USB input version.
- ✅ Charge a matching nickel battery — The board is specified for NiMH and NiCd cells.
- ✅ Choose the input connector — Type-C and Micro USB variants suit different leads.
- ✅ Integrate a small charger circuit — The module format fits an appropriately enclosed build.
- ✅ Use cell-voltage termination — The described −ΔV method controls the charging endpoint.
Configure the Cell Count Before Connecting
The board is described for one to four series NiMH/NiCd cells and defaults to 1S. Confirm the configuration method and battery's permitted charge current before use.
Default charging current is 500 mA with a nominal 5 V input. It is not for lithium cells. Use suitable wiring, temperature monitoring and enclosure for the project rather than treating the bare board as a finished charger.
