Design the backup system around the load

A transfer module is one part of a backup-power design. The main supply, backup source and load must have compatible voltages and protection, with thresholds chosen for the actual source arrangement.

The AB18 is specified for 12-60 V DC and up to 18 A, subject to the complete installation. Test changeover with the intended load; a switching-time claim does not establish uninterrupted operation of every connected device or make the module a complete UPS.
