Door Security Chain, Guard and Plate Options
Add a mechanical secondary restraint to a compatible door with a security chain. The chain connects the door and frame fittings so the door can open a limited distance while the chain is engaged, with separate guard and plate-style options.
Limit the opening while the chain is engaged
- ✅ Open the door part-way—the connected chain allows a limited gap without fully releasing the door.
- ✅ Add a separate mechanical restraint—the chain works as an additional fitting alongside the door’s existing lock.
- ✅ Choose the fitting style for the door—different plate designs and finishes let you compare the mounting layout with your door and frame.
One metal door-chain assembly is supplied in the selected style and finish, with mounting screws shown in the package photographs. The Guard Chain Silver option has a different fitting design from the Door Lock options. Compare the mounting pattern, door opening direction and fixing surface before installation. This is supplementary hardware, and its performance depends on the door, frame, installation and use.

Photographs distinguish the guard and plate-style chains; select the fitting and finish required.
Check the door and frame layout, then choose the chain style for your installation.
