Match the measuring travel to the machine axis
A linear scale provides a position reference for a compatible DRO installation. Choose a travel long enough for the intended axis and allow the additional space required by the scale body and mounting arrangement.
Confirm the readout's connector pinout, signal requirements and resolution setting before connecting. A DB9 plug alone does not establish compatibility, and 5 µm resolution is not a guarantee of the entire machine's positioning accuracy.
