Choose the density for the exposure

Bright conditions can limit the aperture or shutter setting you want to use. A suitable ND filter reduces light so you can explore the intended depth of field or motion treatment.

Match the actual 101 mm square size to the matte-box holder and check the image after fitting. A graduated filter needs its transition positioned for the scene, and this set is not a polariser or a complete matte box.
