Turn channel readings into the project result

A spectral sensor gives an application several measurements of the incoming light rather than one full continuous spectrum. Use the matching driver and calibration to interpret those channels for the task.

Check the actual breakout board's voltage, optics and software before connection. Chip package dimensions are not board dimensions, and module readings alone do not establish calibrated laboratory spectra, chemical concentration or a safety alarm.
