Soldering Third Hand with Flexible Arms and Desk Clamp Base
Two hands are never enough when a joint needs solder, an iron and a part at once. This third hand clips to the desk edge, and three flexible arms carry four alligator clamps. For model builds, PCB rework and repair at a bench.
Hold the board steady while both hands work
✅ Board held while both hands work The arms take the weight, so one hand holds the iron and the other the solder.
✅ Clamps turn to face the joint Each alligator clamp rotates a full turn, so the grip lands square on the board edge.
✅ Arms stay put Set an angle and it holds without springing back or dropping.
✅ Clamped to the desk edge The base clip grips the bench, keeping the frame clear of the work surface.
✅ Packed for a club night It breaks down small and light, so it travels to repairs away from the bench.
Model work is where it earns its keep. A wing strut or a small board is gripped from the side by an alligator clamp, instead of being balanced against a block of wood while the iron goes in. The arms are set by hand and hold the angle you leave them at.
The frame is ABS and the whole parcel weighs 253 g, so the unit moves between a shelf and the bench without a second trip. Nothing in it is powered: no batteries, no cable, no switch, so there is nothing to charge before a session.
What arrives is four alligator clamps, three flexible arms and the base clip. Solder, flux, the iron and the work itself are not included. The black finish can read slightly differently from a screen.
