Invisible Hem Clips for Trousers, Plastic, 2 to 20 Pieces
Trouser hems get pinned, stitched and unpicked again, and pins leave marks in thin fabric. These U-shaped plastic clips hold a folded hem while it is sewn, and the 2 cm body sits inside the fold. Choose 2, 4, 6, 10 or 20 pieces. For anyone shortening trousers at the kitchen table.
Hold a hem without pins in the way
✅ Grips the folded hem The U-shape slides over the folded edge and holds it while the machine runs along the seam.
✅ Hidden inside the fold The clip sits within the hem rather than on top of it, so the finished line stays clean.
✅ Two to twenty pieces Packs of 2, 4, 6, 10 or 20 cover one pair of trousers or a wardrobe of alterations.
✅ Narrow enough for cuffs At 2 cm the clip turns a narrow trouser cuff without pushing the fold out of shape.
✅ Reusable on the next pair Plastic clips lift off after sewing and go back in the drawer for the next hem.
Fold the trousers to the length you want, then slide a clip over the folded edge every few centimetres and check the line before sewing. Lift each clip away as the needle reaches it, so the plastic never goes under the presser foot.
The point of the clip is that the hem stays folded while both hands are free. With pins you push through the fabric and pull them out again; with clips the fold is held from the outside, and the clip itself sits inside the hem, out of sight once the seam is closed.
Plastic bodies mean the clips come off before pressing: take them out, press the hem, and reuse them on the next pair. Packs run from 2 to 20 pieces, so buy for the pile of alterations rather than the single job in front of you.
