A cycle is short: fill the body with water, set it in the microwave, run the appliance until the water steams, then leave the door shut for a few minutes so the steam works on the walls. Wipe with a cloth afterwards, once the surfaces have cooled enough to touch.

It is a plastic cleaning tool, not a spray or a chemical cleaner, so there is no residue to rinse off the surfaces afterwards. Food contact is not intended: the body is for holding water through the steam cycle, not for cooking or serving in.

Two things decide whether it suits your microwave. It needs an appliance that runs, and it needs a few minutes of empty microwave time after cooking. Where the cavity is heavily coated, steam softens the top layer rather than dissolving it, so expect a second cycle for baked-on patches.
