Digital Turntable Stylus Force Gauge
Set a turntable's tracking force against the cartridge recommendation with a small digital stylus-force gauge.
✅ Read the force at the stylus contact - A weighing platform gives a direct numerical reference during adjustment.
✅ Compare adjustments in small increments - The described 0.01 g readout helps follow changes while setting the tonearm.
✅ Keep the setup tool beside the turntable - A compact battery-powered unit fits a record-care and adjustment kit.
Use the cartridge's recommended setting
A tonearm counterweight scale is a starting reference, but a separate gauge lets you check the force at the stylus. Position the platform as instructed and make adjustments around the cartridge manufacturer's recommended range.
Keep the gauge level and stable, and lower the stylus gently onto the intended point. This is a setup measurement tool, not a guarantee of playback quality or a substitute for alignment and the rest of the turntable's adjustments.
