Mini I2C Dual-Axis Joystick Module with Four Buttons
Add handheld directional and button input to a compatible microcontroller project. This mini joystick module combines two axes and four labelled buttons over I2C. It is for makers building game controls, robots or other custom interfaces.
- ✅ Control direction on two axes — X/Y values provide joystick input.
- ✅ Keep controller pins available — I2C carries the module's input data.
- ✅ Add distinct actions — Four buttons and a joystick press offer separate controls.
- ✅ Simplify a small enclosure — A compact board suits a handheld project.
- ✅ Use event-based inputs — Press, release and click states provide software options.
A grouped input board for a custom controller
Connect the board to a suitable 3–5 V controller and implement the I2C interface in the project software. The default address is 0x5A, allowing the inputs to be read without wiring every button separately.
The PH2.0 four-pin connector provides a defined connection format. Check pinout and voltage levels for Arduino, Raspberry Pi or another controller; the board is a component, not a complete game console.
