PDA6100Q Four-Quadrant Photodiode Sensor
Explore light-position sensing with a PDA6100Q four-quadrant photodiode component.
✅ Compare light across four areas - Separate sensitive quadrants provide the basis for a compatible position-comparison circuit.
✅ Build a direction-sensitive experiment - Relative quadrant responses can support an appropriately designed light-tracking project.
Turn quadrant responses into position information
A quadrant photodiode divides its sensitive area so an external circuit can compare the responses. That comparison can be used in a suitable optical alignment or tracking experiment.
The component needs appropriate current measurement and processing circuitry. Optical geometry, bias and calibration determine the result; this is a bare sensor component rather than a complete solar tracker or calibrated position instrument.
