Set the signal level before the instrument

An RF test may need the same source at several reduced levels. An adjustable attenuator provides that change while the rest of the connected setup remains in place.

Keep input power within the stated limit and account for insertion loss as well as the selected attenuation. RP-SMA must match the mating connector; this is not a high-power dummy load or a general receiver-protection guarantee.
