Check the signal before counting it

A frequency counter can help verify an oscillator or suitable RF source when the input signal falls within the instrument's requirements. Connect the test source through the correctly rated lead or attenuation arrangement.

Confirm signal level, waveform and input limits before use. The 100 Hz resolution is the display step rather than a guarantee of absolute accuracy, and this module is not a spectrum analyser or a transmitter power meter.
