Front-Mount Solar Filter for 6-Inch SCT Telescopes

This filter assembly is intended for the front of specified six-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope housings. It is supplied as a separate plastic-frame and PET-film accessory.

Check Fit and Visual-Use Suitability Before Observation

Compare the actual telescope housing with the 174 mm internal and 184 mm external frame diameters. The clear aperture is 128.5 mm, so the six-inch telescope description is not the filter's clear opening.

Solar observation requires a purpose-designed filter securely mounted at the front of the optics. Have the actual filter's suitability verified before visual use, inspect it for damage, and never use damaged film or point an unfiltered telescope at the Sun.
