INA226 and INA231 Power Monitor Modules
Bring current, bus-voltage and power readings into a microcontroller project with an INA226 or INA231 monitoring module.
✅ Read more than voltage alone - Shunt monitoring and an internal calculation provide current and power values for the host.
✅ Use a familiar digital connection - An I2C-compatible interface carries measurements to a matching controller.
✅ Adapt measurements to the application - Programmable averaging and calibration support the intended shunt and sampling arrangement.
✅ Share the bus with other devices - Programmable addressing provides configuration choices for a multi-device I2C setup.
See how the circuit uses power
A voltage reading alone does not show how much current a load draws. A shunt-based monitor adds that measurement so a project can track power use or compare operating states.
Choose the module for the actual bus voltage and logic interface. INA226 and INA231 have different limits, and the board's shunt and wiring determine the usable current range; do not infer it from the chip's voltage rating.
