2m Retractable Tree Measuring Tape

Wrap a flexible measuring tape around a tree trunk without carrying a long rigid rule, then retract it for the next survey point.

✅ Follow the curved trunk surface - A flexible PVC tape bends around the circumference for the measurement.

✅ Move between trees with less loose tape - Retractable storage keeps the 2 m strip inside a compact housing.

✅ Record in a familiar unit - Millimetre and inch markings provide two reference systems.

Use the same reference for each tree

A tree measurement is easier to compare when it is taken at a consistent height and with the tape level. Wrap the strip evenly, avoid twists and note the location of the measurement as well as the number.

Check which scale you are reading before recording diameter. A normal distance scale measures circumference around the trunk; only a correctly calibrated diameter scale converts that reading directly.
