Map-Reading Compass with Lanyard

Keep a physical direction reference with your map. This pocket compass combines a pointer dial, map-reading scales and a magnifying area for outdoor navigation practice and route planning.

✅ Check direction without an electronic screen - The pointer compass provides a physical directional reference.

✅ Read smaller map details - The magnifying feature enlarges the area beneath it.

✅ Keep the compass attached to your kit - An adjustable cord provides a carrying option instead of a loose pocket item.

Use the Compass Together with the Map

A direction reading becomes useful when it is related to the map and the terrain around you. Practise taking a bearing and matching it to known features before depending on the compass for an unfamiliar route.

Keep it away from magnets, metal equipment and other sources of interference when reading it. The dial is not luminous, so provide separate light when required. This is a navigation aid that still needs the user's skills and a suitable route plan.
