UPS HAT C for Raspberry Pi Zero - Battery Options
Give a compatible Raspberry Pi Zero project a battery-backed power path. The UPS HAT (C) provides regulated 5 V output and automatic battery changeover, with I2C monitoring so your software can follow the battery's status.
✅ Bridge a loss of external power - A connected battery supplies the HAT when the external source is unavailable.
✅ Read the battery condition in software - I2C monitoring provides voltage, current, power and remaining-capacity data.
✅ Charge while powering the project - Path management supports battery charging and output at the same time.
Make Backup Power Part of the Pi Design
A small logging or control project can need more than an abrupt stop when its supply disappears. A backup power path gives the system an alternative source, while monitoring data lets your application decide when to save and shut down.
Configure that shutdown behaviour in software; the board does not guarantee data protection by itself. Choose the battery-inclusive or battery-free option, and follow the assembly instructions with power disconnected. The Pi, display and MicroSD card are not included.
