Fitting starts at the rear: the camera body mounts through a drilled opening, and the six-metre copper cable runs forward to the monitor or head unit. White, brown and green control wires cover the mirror image, the signal and the parking-line overlay.

The choice that matters most is your screen. A CVBS camera works with standard monitors, while the AHD 1080P version needs a monitor or Android head unit that can display AHD. If the reverse-camera menu in the head unit's factory settings offers no AHD1080P option, that unit will not show an AHD picture.

The two versions differ by more than resolution. The 720P variant is the safer match for an older head unit, while the 1080P version gives a sharper image on a display that supports it. The housing is stainless steel, with a plastic and glass lens assembly.

In the box you get the camera, a power cable, the six-metre video cable and a user manual. A monitor or head unit is not part of the kit, so plan for one if your vehicle has no screen at the rear.
