The ST-301 Spider works by analyzing signals directly inside wired systems. In active mode, it detects devices currently transmitting. In passive mode, it identifies hidden electronics in standby using non-linear junction detection. This means even dormant surveillance bugs can be found.

Its reflectometer sends a signal through the wire and measures how it returns. Any irregular reflection points to tampering, added connections, or breaks. This makes it especially useful in offices, secure facilities, and environments where communication integrity matters.
