For the first evening, pull the inverted spikes out of the tube, turn the switch under the cap and leave the light in direct sun for six to twelve hours. A new unit often needs that first full charge before it lasts a whole night.

Place the panel where midday sun reaches it, not under a shrub or in the shadow of a wall. The stake sets the height, so keep the head clear of long grass and out of the line of the mower.

Charged for four to six hours in sunlight, a unit runs for roughly six to eight hours after dark. Across the eight variants the output is given as 60 to 249 lm, so for a long drive place several lights rather than expecting one to carry the distance.

IP44 is a splash rating, not a promise for standing water or a submerged fitting. That makes it right for beds, borders and path edges, and the wrong choice for the inside of a pond.
