Digital Clamp Meter, 6017 or 610D, AC Current Measurement
Check AC current around a suitable individual conductor and use test leads for other electrical measurements. These 6017 and 610D clamp meters have different ranges and functions. They are for competent users selecting the model, leads and measurement limits appropriate to the circuit.
- ✅ Check load current without opening the circuit — The clamp jaw measures AC current around an accessible individual conductor.
- ✅ Check another electrical value during a service — Test-lead inputs provide voltage and resistance measurements.
- ✅ Note a reading after moving the meter — The hold function retains the displayed value.
- ✅ Choose a tool for your working space — 6017 offers a smaller body; 610D has a larger jaw and more functions.
- ✅ Keep the kit together between jobs — Both selected packages show a storage bag for the meter and leads.
Choose 6017 or 610D by the job
The 6017 option states AC clamp current up to 500 A, voltage up to 600 V and resistance up to 2000 ohms. It has a 32 mm jaw opening and a maximum displayed count of 1999. It requires two AAA batteries, not included, and the shown kit contains meter, test leads, manual and bag.
The 610D option states AC clamp current up to 1000 A, a 40 mm jaw and approximately 6000-count display. Its additional stated functions include capacitance, temperature, frequency, LoZ, inrush and VFD measurement. Three AAA batteries are required and excluded. Its kit shows test leads, a temperature probe, manual and bag.
Neither offered model is confirmed for DC clamp-current measurement. Images of 610E do not add that model or its DC-current functions to your selection. Follow the exact meter and lead ratings and supplied instructions, inspect them before use and use the correct setting. NCV or live indication is not proof that a circuit is isolated.

610D and 610E are different models; only 610D is offered alongside 6017 here.

The 610D measures AC clamp current, not DC clamp current.

Compare the 610D column rather than applying 610E specifications.

The 610D has its own battery and jaw requirements.

The 610D controls include mode, range and hold functions.

Inrush measurement is stated for 610D; use only the supplied measurement procedure.

NCV is an indication function, not proof of isolation.

DC clamp-current measurement belongs to 610E, which is not an available option.

The live indication does not replace a correct voltage test.

The 610D backlit display presents readings and units.

The 610D jaw opening is stated as 40 mm.

The 610D has local work illumination.

LoZ is a stated 610D function, not a confirmed 6017 feature.

VFD mode is stated for 610D.

The 610D kit shows leads, temperature probe, manual and bag.

The compact 6017 is a separate option.

Basic 6017 functions differ from the 610D functions.

The 6017 has its own measurement limits.

6017 controls and input sockets are shown.

Check conductor fit within the 6017 jaw.

The 6017 display has a stated maximum of 1999.

Use suitable test leads for the selected measurement.

Live indication does not establish a circuit is safe to touch.

The 6017 has the smaller body.

The 6017 kit shows leads, manual and bag.
