Choose the Measurement for the Question

A supply-voltage check and a resistance or continuity check have different roles. Select the correct function and follow the meter's instructions, including the required powered or unpowered state, rather than applying every mode to the same live circuit.

Use the actual meter and probe ratings to decide where the instrument is appropriate. Its NCV function is supplementary non-contact indication, not proof that a circuit is isolated. Prepare the two AAA cells before starting the session.
