Give a suitable hole cutter a guide when starting on a smooth tile or glass surface. This adjustable drilling locator uses two suction cups and bearing guides. It is for users matching a compatible bit, surface and drilling method; choose the locator alone or the fifteen-bit package.

Choose the guide, then match the cutter to the material

Mark the intended hole, clean the suction-contact area and adjust the rollers to suit the cutter before drilling. Test the suction hold and clearance each time. Suction performance depends on the surface; textured, porous or uneven materials may not provide a suitable seal.

The stated guide adjustment range is 4–83 mm, but that does not mean the optional fifteen bits cover every diameter in that range. Exact bit sizes are not confirmed here. The combined selection is illustrated with tubular hole cutters; choose a cutter and drilling method appropriate to the actual tile or glass.

One green metal-and-plastic locator is supplied in either selection. Locator and Drill adds fifteen bits, while Locator includes no bits. A drill, marker, tiles and other worksite tools are excluded. The guide assists positioning rather than guaranteeing a chip-free result or making an unsuitable material safe to drill.
