Position the sensing probe near a possible water leak while keeping the main unit above the floor. This Tuya Zigbee sensor connects to a compatible gateway for app reports. It is for households adding a cabled sensing point near plumbing or appliances.

Place the probe where you want to check
Place the probe's two contacts at the point where water should be sensed. The approximately 1 m lead allows the main body to sit away from the contact point. It is a local sensing device, not coverage for every possible leak in a room.
The sensor requires a compatible Zigbee 3.0 gateway and a linked Smart Life/Tuya app setup. Reports depend on the batteries, gateway, network and notification settings. No gateway, siren or motorised shut-off valve is included, and automatic valve closure requires separate compatible equipment.
Fit two AAA batteries, which are not included, then pair and test the sensor in its final position. It does not guarantee every leak will be detected or prevent damage; keep access for checking the probe and replacing batteries.
A compatible Zigbee gateway is required between the sensor and the linked app setup.
The main unit uses two AAA batteries; the probe connects by an approximately 1 m lead.
App reports require a working gateway, network and notification setup.
Water must reach the probe contacts for the sensor to report that local condition.
Review the app's history of reported states after pairing and testing.
Use low-battery reminders alongside regular physical checks.
Place the probe for the intended local water-contact check; this is not an automatic shut-off valve.
