UT300S Infrared Thermometer, -32 to 400 °C, 12:1
A motor housing, a hotplate or a grill can be too hot to touch and too awkward to probe. The UT300S infrared thermometer reads surfaces from -32 to 400 °C without contact, with a 12:1 spot ratio and adjustable emissivity. It suits workshop, cooking and everyday checks, and is not for human body temperature.
A Reading from a Step Back

Distance decides what you measure. At the quoted 12:1 ratio the spot grows with range, so a small component needs the gun close, while a whole radiator or a grill surface can be read from further back.
The display carries two values at once, real-time with MAX or MIN, so a rise during a warm-up or a drop after switch-off is visible without writing anything down. High and low limits can be set with an audible alarm, and the backlight suits a dim plant room.
One limit to note before buying: this is an industrial and cooking meter, not a medical one, so it should not be used for human body temperature. The battery is not included, a CE marking is stated, and accuracy is quoted at ±2 °C or ±2%.
