Sizing is the first thing to check. The case is made for phones below 6.7 inches, so measure a large handset before ordering and allow for the case you normally keep it in; a phone right at the limit has little room to spare.
Fitting takes the supplied small wrench and the folding base. The base sets the angle, the joint swings the screen between portrait and landscape, and the magnetic sheet keeps the phone against the back of the shell rather than sliding loose inside it.
The bottom of the case is left open for a charging cable and a headphone jack, so a long ride with navigation running does not have to end when the battery drops.
The case closes with a sealing ring, which is aimed at rain and road spray rather than submersion. Ride with it clipped on in a downpour and you may still see mist on the inside of the window over a long, wet day.
