HW-100 Wall Stud Finder with Metal & AC Scanning Modes
Gather more information about a suitable wall before planning a fixing position. The HW-100 wall scanner offers stud, metal and AC scanning modes with an LCD indication. It is for DIY users assessing surfaces before mounting shelves, cabinets or other fittings.
- ✅ Compare possible fixing positions — Scan a suitable wall in more than one direction and compare the indicated locations.
- ✅ Transfer an indicated point to the wall — The opening in the housing provides a place to make a reference mark.
- ✅ Choose a scanning mode for the material — Separate stud, metal and AC modes give different checking options.
- ✅ Follow the signal while moving — The LCD shows signal and centre indications during a scan.
- ✅ Check power before starting — The battery indicator gives a reference before beginning the next scanning pass.
Scan, compare and independently verify
Calibrate as instructed on a clear area away from the target, then keep the scanner flat while moving over a suitable surface. The stud modes have nominal depth settings of 13, 25 and 38 mm. Wall construction, moisture, material and target position can affect the result.
The centre indication and marking hole help transfer a reported location to your planning marks. They do not confirm the strength of a fixing point or replace checking the structure and selecting suitable anchors.
AC and metal modes are checking aids, not proof that an area is free of wires or pipes. Do not treat the absence of an indication as permission to drill; independently establish hidden-service locations and isolate relevant supplies before work. The pack contains one scanner and manual; a 9 V 6F22 battery is required separately.

Choose the relevant mode and calibrate according to the instructions.

An absent AC indication does not establish that a location is safe to drill.

Different modes assess different targets; results depend on the wall and object.

Mark a reported position for further checking rather than drilling solely from one indication.

The stud settings are 13, 25 and 38 mm; other depth claims are inconsistent.

Keep the sensing areas flat against a suitable surface when scanning.

Shelves and cabinets are planning examples, not a guarantee of a suitable fixing point.

The handheld body is approximately 14.6 × 6.6 × 3 cm in the illustration.

The selected colour pack contains one scanner and manual.
